'Britney Spears Is Excited To Be Working With Her Idol Madonna Again'
The Toxic singer will be filming a short promo for the Madge's upcoming Sticky & Sweet world tour, and Spears couldn't be happier to be back at work with her idol.
A friend of the star tells People: "Britney is excited, but in a grown up way. She has come a long way in the last year. She has settled down and is full of life but not childish.
"Working with Madonna is a dream, but I think she feels like it's one she's earned. She's respectful but full of her own ideas about the work."
And the insider is adamant Spears is back to her best mentally and professionally: "I think that so many people have no idea that Britney is fully aware of what's going on. She may not always have been, but she is now. And she is - if not in control - in partnership with her father and her managers in her future."
The singer's dad Jamie Spears was appointed conservator of his daughter's private affairs in February after Britney was admitted to hospital for a mental health evaluation.
Alec Baldwin - Baldwin Bags Small Victory In Horse Carriage Crusade
LATEST: Actor ALEC BALDWIN has persuaded New York City officials to reconsider placing a ban on New York's famous horse-drawn carriage trade.
The native New Yorker appeared at a People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) event just last month (18Jun08) to campaign against the industry.
He believes the frantic streets of New York are no place for nervous animals to haul around heavy carriages.
City officials have confirmed seven accidents and two traffic-related horse deaths have resulted from the carriage trade in the last three years.
Brooklyn Councilman Tony Avella tells the New York Post: "My first inclination was to try to find a way to do a better job. But I (now see) that... to make a profit, there's no way for them to treat the horses properly."
Baldwin joins Pretenders singer Chrissie Hynde and pop star Pink, who have both campaigned for PETA against horse-drawn carriages.

Gary Dourdan: My Rehab Will Not Be Televised!
Reports suggested the actor - who was dropped from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation after he was caught in possession of cocaine and ecstasy in California in April - was to appear alongside other Z-list train wrecks on the reality TV show.
But Dourdan insists the news is bogus.
He says, "For the record, contrary to what's written on the web, I will not be (doing) any celebrity rehab. That's completely false."
The actor avoided jail following his drug possession arrest after pleading guilty to felony charges at the end of last month.
In a statement released shortly after his arrest, the actor said, "Obviously, I am embarrassed to find myself in this situation and I am profoundly grateful to everyone for their support."
Brit Flashes Her Madge
The popwreck was leaving B2V Salon, where she got her busted hair all ironed out. As we reported, she'll be shooting a video that will play on projection screen during Madonna's concert tour next month. She'll be shooting the video stat, and you can't have a nasty-ass weave for her Madgesty.
